James Craig Sail Day CANCELLED - 31st January 2008
The James Craig Sail Day has been cancelled due to it braking one of two main engine gear boxes on the trip down from Sydney. Despite the very best efforts from a lot of people the repairs are going to take two weeks. Most of the parts have to come from various parts of the world, as the ship weighs nearly a tonne this is not a small job.
They cannot sail with just one engine as it does not comply with their survey requirements.
I believe the ship will be on display in Williamstown but await further details.
Hopefully we can do it next year.
