Ridgways have victory at Tasar states - 12th March 2008
Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway (SYC) broke their unlucky streak with two convincing wins to clean up the Ronstan Victorian State Championships held at McCrae Yacht Club on Port Phillip Bay. Current National Champions Craig McPhee and Gill Berry (welcome visitors) came in second with Derick and Gwen Warne (SYC) third in their new boat, OkiDoki. Hugh and Megan Ridgway (SYC) came 4th. Conditions over the hot Labour Day weekend were quite challenging for the Race Committee and competitors alike, but it was fantastic just to be able to run and relocate the states when the waters of Lake Mulwala became unsuitable.
Overall winners Paul and Bron Ridgway also won the Grand Masters division.
The Ridgway family managed the quinella in Race 4 with Hugh and Megan winning the heat and Paul and Bronwyn coming in second.
