SYC Boats win 2007/8 Range Series In provisional results, SYC boats Cougar II, Goldfinger and Intrusion have taken out their respective divisions in the 2007/8 Club Marine Range Series, after the last race Saturday 5th April.
In Division 0, Alan Whiteley's TP52 Cougar II clinched the IRC division in a very close battle with RYCV's Living Doll, the result coming down to the last race and a 1-point margin, with Phil Coombs' Dekadence third. Cougar II also won the YV division, again by 1 point from Peter Blake & Kate Mitchell's Goldfinger. Goldfinger also won the Div 0 AMS division.
In Division 3, Luke Reinehr's S80 Intrusion dominated the series, winning both IRC and AMS divisions. Gordon Mather's Revenge also had a successful series, placing 2nd in IRC and AMS.
Other placings for SYC boats in this year's series include Veloce (Div 1 2nd IRC), Horizon Sprint (Div 1 2nd AMS ), Young Lion (Div 2 - 2nd AMS & 3rd IRC), Challenge (Div 1 3rd IRC & 3rd AMS), Vapour Trail (Div 2 3rd AMS) and Dr Unc (Div 2 3rd YV),
