International Cadet State Championship 2008 Results - 14th March 2008
The State Championships were held at Sandringham Yacht Club on 8th, 9th & 10th of March 2008. There were 32 boats competing from 4 clubs around the state as well as two boats from Tasmania. Day 1 - the conditions were quite light with a 5-8 knots breeze completing the 2 afternoon scheduled races.
The next day was even lighter with the first race for the day being abandoned due to the breeze dropping out. The Race Officer, Phil Kaufman, struggled to get at least one race for the day, instead of the scheduled four.
Day 3 was a very different day 16-20 knots from the North which made for a much more exciting race day, completing 3 races before the southerly change came through.

Overall it is a great result for SYC having 5 boats in the top 10.
