SECOND DAY OF THE AUST'N WOMEN'S MATCH RACING CHAMPIONSHIP - 23rd September 2007

The day started out with a 15-20 knot wind forecast and everyone readied themselves for a 'fast' day of sailing on the waters of Port Phillip Bay.  After laying the course, the racing was held off due to the increasing wind conditions.  With winds now gusting over 20 knots, a decision was made to head into the marina to wait for the weather to abait.  However, the forecast changed and issued a strong wind warning - not easing for the remainder of the day.

Sailing was abandoned at 1130hrs.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, it is expected racing will commence with the 2nd Round Robin.
