SYC Immediate Past Commodore Bruce Eddington at Mumm 30 Worlds - 4th October 2008
SYC's immediate past Commodore Bruce Eddington and crew is currently competing at the Mumm 30 World Championships in Newport, Rhode Island. After 2 days of racing, Bruce and his crew on Southern Star are running 11th, including an unfortunate DNF in Race 6, although a number of protest flags were flying at the finish. Yesterday's racing was held in 13-17kn westerly that challenged many crews. Forecast for the next day of racing is a 13-18kn breeze that is expected to build.
Other Aussie, Guy Stening on Optimum is currently leading the series which is due to finish this weekend.
