WIN A TRIP FOR TWO WORTH $15,000 TO THE CROATIA YACHT RALLY 2009 IN THE CLUB MARINE RANGE SERIES THIS SUMMER
Sail in the 2008/9 Club Marine Range Series and you will be eligible for a ticket in the draw for a trip for two in the 2009 Croatia Yacht Rally from Sibenik to Dubrovnik, conducted by Mariner Boating Holidays next September. The prize includes international and domestic flights, airport transfers, 3 nights hotel accommodation, 14 nights on board one of the competing yachts with 24/7 technical support, marina berthing and the social events included in the rally program.
Every time you sail in a Range Series race
you will get another ticket in the draw.
You can also purchase tickets in the draw from Variety Victoria, phone 8698 3900 with all proceeds going to the children’s charity. The winning ticket will be drawn at the final night function of the 2009 Variety Splash to be conducted on Port Phillip Bay next February.
In 2009 the Croatia Yacht Rally will be a one design affair with 10 identical Dufour 44’s available for charter. These 44’s have 3 double cabins plus a twin single bunk cabin to store your luggage or to sleep a couple of kids in if you want to.
The racing is a minor part of the rally program, however, with the proven Mariner Boating formula of more lay days than races being the main feature of the program. The rally itinerary will include Sibenik and the southern Kornati Islands, Trogir, Hvar, Viz, Lastovo, Korcula, Miljet, Sipan, Lopud, Kolocep and the jewel of the Croatian crown, Dubrovnik. There will also be an optional overland trip before the rally from Vienna to Sibenik via Southern Austria, Slovenia and Northern Croatia. Highlights of this trip will be Lake Bled and the Plitvice Lake district of Croatia.
